Alma Maxine Miles, 84, of Marianna, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at home with her family at her side.
Maxine was born on October 3, 1935, in Egypt, Arkansas, to the late Fredrick Merrell and Sara Jane Chadwick Merrell.
Maxine was preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Marie Miles; sisters, Nova Hendrix and Anna Merrell; and brothers: James David Brown, Earl Leon Brown, Charles Merrell, and John Brown.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William H. Miles; son, Bill Miles and his wife, Kim, of Marianna; daughters, Elaine Kirkpatrick and her husband, Joe, of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Pam Williams and her husband, Bobby, of Marianna; grandchildren: Joe Kirkpatrick III and his wife, Lenora, Ashley Douglas and her husband, Ryan, Susan Thompson, Lori Richardson and her husband, Brandon, Heather Fulton and her husband, Jonathan, Carrie Miles, and Merrell Westerman and her husband, Chris; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera Gilchrist, of Wynne, Arkansas, and Pansy Smith, of Inola, Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
