Mary L. Steller, 91, North Manchester, Indiana, passed away August 2, 2022, at Wabash Parkview Hospital. Born on October 17, 1930, in Kokomo, Indiana, Mary was the daughter of the late Lacey Elwood and Florence Naomi (Pratt) Hullinger.

In 1950 Mary graduated from Kokomo High School, and in 1963 she began working at Eaton Controls in North Manchester. For twenty-eight years she worked in manufacturing and assembly before retiring in 1991. On September 29, 1978, Mary wed Arnold "Lee" Steller. The two were married for nearly thirty-seven years before Lee passed away on May 4, 2015.

Mary was a loving, caring, and welcoming woman who loved the Lord. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church for the last twenty years and never judged a soul. She ensured others had whatever they needed, even if that meant giving them something she had just gotten for herself. Mary's laugh will be forever remembered by those who knew her.

A lover of the outdoors, Mary enjoyed her time spent fishing, mushroom hunting, and tending to her garden. After moving to Peabody three years ago, she had a bird feeder by her window, which allowed her to watch birds and squirrels. She was even able to feed the squirrels by hand. Mary was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #286 and a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, both in North Manchester.

The loving memory of Mary L. Steller will be forever cherished by her sons, Tom (Dianne) Dugan, Pierceton, Larry (Deborah) Steller, Tennessee, Mike (Sue) Steller, Cromwell, and Steve (Kim) Steller, Pierceton; daughter, Janet Harmon, North Manchester; eighteen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lacey and Florence Hullinger; husband, Arnold "Lee" Steller; daughters, Rebecca Dugan-Shoemaker and Sandra Steller; brother, Lacey J. Hullinger; and sisters, Barbara West and Helen Ballew.
