Mrs. Mary Dell Boatman, 75, a retired Winona nurses' aide, died Saturday, March 26, 1988, at Rankin General Hospital in Brandon after a brief illness.
The Attala County native is survived by her husband, Ulysses Grant Boatman of Winona; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Bain of Pearl and Mrs. Shirley Crosby of Clinton; three sons, O.O. Boatman of Sand Hill, Ennis Boatman of Grenada and Rocky Boatman of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Keith of Jackson and Mrs. Olley Nail Scott of Clarksdale, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winona.
Funeral services were conducted from Oliver Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29. The Rev. John A. Wade preached. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandchildren, Wayne Boatman, Wade Boatman, Ronnie Boatman, Sonny Boatman, Thad Crosby, Tod Crosby, Larry Bain, Michael Bain and Danny Bain. Oliver Funeral Home handled arrangements.
