Frank Keder Ballard, 70, a native of Yalobusha County, living in Winona died Friday, March 2nd at the Tyler Holmes Hospital after a brief illness. He was associated with Reid Pulpwood Company, and was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estelle Garrard Ballard of Winona: one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Pruett of Greenwood; one son, Teddy Ballard of Greenwood; four sisters, Miss Joel Ballard of Batesville, Mrs. Julia Steichen of Tuscon, Arizona, Mrs. Jane Jeans of Weaverville, California and Mrs. Etha Hegar of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Herbert Ballard of Shaw and Hampton Ballard of Huntsville, Alabama and one grandchild.
Services were held at Oliver Chapel, Saturday, March 3 at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. David Pratt officiating, assisted by Rev. Horace Thomas. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Tommy Reid, Danny Herod, Bob Long, Eddie Howard, Sonny Simmons, and Bruce Smith.
