Mary Petersen Reeder, D.D.S. has done her final sashay in this life as she danced back into Harold's arms on Thursday March 17, 2005 while square dancing! She was 87. Mary was born April 22nd, 1917 in Brigham City, Utah to David C. Petersen and Chloe Nelson. She married Harold Wilford Reeder in the Salt Lake Temple Oct 3. 1946. They have 5 children: Shirley (Larry) Paulson; Kathryn (Val) Paulsen; Ford (Dianne) Reeder; Cordell (Ruth) Reeder; Boyd Reeder; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, one sister Shirley Wright (Donald) Litchfield. Mary was a leader among women, graduating in 1940 from the UC San Francisco, being the first woman dentist to pass the Utah State Boards. She was an active member of the LDS church. Mary was a member of many community organizations among them were WLC, DUP, Civic Club, president of the PTA and AAUW. Funeral Service will be Monday 1:00 p.m. at the Brigham City 18th Ward, 895 North 625 West. Viewing will be held Sunday from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 Eat 200 South, Brigham City and Monday at the church from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery.
