Services were held Nov. 13 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel for Ida Mae Yates Ryals, 81, of Hattiesburg. She died Nov. 12 at Forrest General Hospital.

Elder Bren Rushing officiated. Interment was in Society Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Ryals was born Aug. 17, 1909, in Jefferson Davis County the daughter of John Yates and Katie Rutland Yates. She was a retired seamstress of the Reliance Manufacturing Company and had been a resident of Hattiesburg for 28 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Morris Ryals.

Survivors include one daughter, Rose Delancey of Hattiesburg; one son, Wayne Ryals of Hattiesburg; one sister, Bell Whitehead of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
