Services for Jack L. Cook Sr., 60, of Route 1, Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Church with the Rev. Benny Burlison officiating. Burial will be in Chambers Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mr. Cook died Saturday in Trinity Valley Medical Centery from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 3, 1929 in Palestine, a son of Patrick Delaney and Della Grace Starkey Cook. He retired after 24 years as a machine operator with the Glass Container industry. He has been employed for the past three years at Meadowbrook Country Club as maintenance supervisor. He served in the Navy and was a member of Trinity Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Cook of Palestine; sons, Jack L. Cook Jr. of Burleson, Joe Bob Cook of Palestine, and Orville Dean Cook of Port Arthur; sisters, Billie Sue Trible of Magnolia, Della L. Hudson of Palestine and Mary Bess Thomason of Jacksonville; brothers, Patt D. Cook Jr. of Leona and Patt D. Cook III of Alto.
Condolences will be received from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Trible, Daniel Thomason, William Galloway, Earl Smith, Michael Goff, Joe Bob Carpenter, Willie Payne and Glenn Gusa.
