Robert Emmett Campbell, 87, Prairie Village died Friday at the Veterans Hospital. He was born in the Stanley Community in Johnson County and was a lifelong Kansas City area resident. Mr. Campbell was building superintendent for the Breyfogle Development Co. 30 years before he retired in 1969. He was a charter member and past commander of the Dwight Cowles Post of the American Legion; a member of the Forty and Eight Club; and the Masonic Lodge, Overland Park. He was a Presbyterian. He leaves three sons, Robert B. Campbell, Gravois Mills, MO., Alfred B. Campbell, Oklahoma City, and Thomas L. Campbell, Shawnee; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Rogers, Overland Park, Mrs. Roberta Mills, Kansas City, and Mrs. Elmora A. Thies of the home; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10a.m. Tuesday at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel; burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel, where Forty and Eight Club services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
