Temple Daily Telegram, Tuesday, April 27, 1993:

Services for Albert Brinkmeyer, 69, of Thrall, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall, with the Rev. Robert Sauer officiating. Burial will be in Taylor City Cemetery. He died Monday in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Brinkmeyer was born in Williamson County to Willie and Annie Moehnke Brinkmeyer. He married Ruth Agnes Kuban on Dec. 31, 1949. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Thorndale. He also was a member of the Sons of Hermann and St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall. A lifetime resident of the Thrall area, he worked as a welder at Carl A. Johnson & Sons for 24 years, and worked at American Desk for 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife on May 5, 1990.

Survivors are three daughters, Deborah Adams of Thorndale, Cynthia Brinkmeyer of Thrall, and Melissa Pitcock of Austin; two brothers, Alfred Brinkmeyer of Heidenheimer and Willie Brinkmeyer Jr. of the Noack community; a sister, Elvera Pekar of Temple; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church of Thrall, the American Cancer Society, and the Gay Brinkmeyer Scholarship Fund.
