Celebration of life services for EDNA LILE, 85, of Wichita Falls, Texas, will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel on Midwestern Parkway in Wichita Falls. Chuck Dennis, nephew, and Kevin Dickson, son-in-law will officiate. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Edna passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 in Lubbock, Texas.
Edna was born on Sept. 15, 1921 in Wayne, Oklahoma to the late George W. and Bash (Billingsley) Ballard. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School in 1939, Edna attended Draughon's Business College. She married Forest Lynn Lile in Wichita Falls, Texas, on April 14, 1953. They lived in Wichita Falls where they attended Edgemere and Faith Village Churches of Christ. Edna worked as the secretary to the U.S. Postmaster until the birth of her daughter, Sharon. She was a homemaker and actively involved in various programs at church.
Her parents, George and Bash Ballard; her brother, Samuel Ballard; her husband, Lynn Lile; first husband, Roach Admire; niece, Sherry Sullivan; and nephew, Jason Barnes, preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are her family, including her daughter Sharon, son-in-law Kevin Dickson, two grandsons, Sean and Eric, all of Lubbock; Dell Dennis, her sister of Wichita Falls; nieces, Karla Barnes of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Kitty Wall of Ft. Worth; a nephew, Chuck Dennis of Wichita Falls; and nine great-nieces and -nephews, and 11 great-great-nieces and
-nephews.
