Florence Lea Elliott, 80, Paragon, died at 8:30 a.m. March 12, 2004 at her residence. The daughter of the late Charles Curt and Callie (Bolin) Arthur, she was born Nov. 9, 1923, in Whitaker, Ind. Her husband, Charles E. Elliott, whom she married July 11, 1945, survives. Elliott retired in 1987 from Harman Motive in Martinsville, where she was a line worker. She was a member of Paragon Christian Church and Angels on Guard at the church. Other survivors include a son, Ronald E. Elliott, Paragon; a sister, Frances Bemis, Martinsville; two grandchildren, Ronald E. Elliott Jr., and Jennell Colwell. Three brothers, Irvin, John, and Joseph Arthur, and eight sisters, Eunice Baugh, Mary Wheeler, Eva Hill, Maxine Stidd, Evelyn Owens, Nellie Parker, Dorothy Stanger, and Ruth Bolin, all preceded her in death. The service for Florence Lea Elliott was 3 p.m. March 14, 2004, at Paragon Christian Church. The Reverends Tom Scott and Ralph Christman officiated. Pianist Jennifer Sadler accompanied vocalist Rebekah Elliott, who sang "In The Garden." Pallbearers were Tony Gaskins, Mark McCrary, Terry Stidd, Bill Ritter, Brent Colwell and Ronnie Elliott. Burial was in Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon. Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville was in charge of the arrangements.
