Born in Atlanta and was first married to Annie Ruth Smith and had two daughters - Marilyn Joyce Parker XX (8/30/1931 - 05/06/1993) and Helen Parker XX (1937 - XX). He later married Hazel Katherine Parker (06/01/1930-04/02/2006). "Gordon" was a Conductor for Southern Railroad and became disabled when hit by a train on the job. He later worked for the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. He was a fantastic cook, loved to whittle while sitting under the shade trees, farmer, loved dogs, Atlanta Braves baseball and his family. He was a member of the local Methodist Church; loved to spend time at Hewitt's with the local townsmen. He always carried a buckeye in his pocket.
