Mr. Garrard had been a resident of Florence since 1963, coming from Forrest County. He owned and operated G & G Trucking and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Garrard was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was a 32 degree Mason with the John P. Byrd Lodge in Pearl. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Garrard; his sons, Bill Garrard and wife Sylvia, of Florence and Dennis Garrard and wife Louise, of Pearl; his daughter, Christy Jackson and husband Dennis, of Madison; his sisters, Claudia Fillingane and Pat Levins, both of Hattiesburg; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Visitation is 5-8pm Sunday, March 4, 2007 and 12-2pm Monday, March 5, 2007 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services are 2pm Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Floral Hills.
