Annie Josephine Craig Smith, 84, formerly of Waynesboro, died Thursday, March 31, 2005, in Newbury, Ohio. Mrs. Smith was born March 26, 1921, in Albemarle County, Va., the daughter of the late Jessie Barksdale and Nina Bowen Barksdale.

She worked for DuPont and in retail for many years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Julius Howard Craig, Jr. and her second husband, Clifton Albert Smith.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha C. Collier and her husband Mark H. Collier of Strongsville, Ohio; and Rhonda C. Harmon and her husband Gilbert Harmon, Jr. of Chesterland, Ohio.

Services will be held at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2005, with her son-in-law Mark H. Collier officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Afton, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, N.Y. 10163; or to Baldwin Wallace College, 275 Eastland Rd., Berea, OH, 44017.
