Charles Harve was the son of George Washington Avery and Mary Telethia "Simmons" Avery. He was born in Calhoun County, MS. He moved to Arkansas sometime after 1940. He married Lela Roberta "Bertie" Holmes and they lived in Lepanto, AR. They became parents of 10 children, including several who died in infancy.

Services were held at the Lepanto Church of God with Rev Clarence Neely officiating. Burial was in Garden Point Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Mrs Bertie Avery of Bondsville, AR, 4 sons: Harvey James of Lepanto, Carl Hardy of US Army, Jimmy Wayne and Clifford Paul of the home, 3 daughters: Mrs Catherine Stokes, Freda Mae and Rita Faye of the home, five brothers and one sister. LNR
