Peggy L. Garrett Walts, 72, of Waco passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 with her family by her side.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Criswell Cemetery in Falls County with the Rev. James Stevens officiating.
Peggy was born May 17, 1940, to Willie and Lois Layne Garrett in McLennan County. She married Robert Gaylon Walts on Aug. 2, 1957 in Groesbeck. She attended and graduated from China Spring High School in 1958 and was active in basketball, cheerleading, homemaking and was also Valedictorian of her graduation class. Peggy was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include sons, Robert Walts and wife Teresa, Jimmy Walts and wife Kim, John Walts and wife Michele; daughters, Debbie Randant and husband Russell, Fay Robinson and husband Jeff; sister, Betty Veselka and husband Jimmy; 25 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
