The Meridian Star, December 25, 1940:
Mrs. H. A. Kimbrell
Funeral services for Mrs. H. A. Kimbrell, 89, whose death occured in Mobile Tuesday at 10 p.m. were held from the New Hope church Thursday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Deb L. Stennis officiated. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors are four daughters, Mesdames M. O. Brunson, Georgia Molpus, Meridian; Bettie Gibson, Lakeland, Fla., S. J. Molpus, Mobile; three sons, A. R. Kimbrell, Meridian; J. E. Kimbrell, Lucedale; J. C. Kimbrell, Mobile; 40 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as active pallbearers: Royce and Roland Kimbrell, W. W. Brunson, Kenneth Walker, J. and Billie Molpus. Honorary: Arnold Feltenstein, J. H. Morgan, Lamar Robinson, Buster Banes, Eugene Quarles, Henry McNair, W. M. Privett of Stonewall; Claud Harris, J. D. Howerton; Dr. W. Jeff Anderson and deacons of the New Hope church.

Harriet Ann Small Kimbrell was the daughter of Cyrus Small and his first wife Henrietta Parnell.
