Gladys Goldwire - Bradford County Telegraph - March 22, 2007
STARKE - Gladys Madena McDaniel Goldwire, 102, of Starke died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Shands Starke following a brief illness.
Born in Stuckey, Ga., on Feb. 6, 1905, Mrs. Goldwire moved to Starke in 1955 from Eufala, Ala. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Starke and was a registered nurse. She worked for Dr. Berry for 14 years and was a member of United Methodist Women and First United Methodist Church Missionary Society in Eufala.
Mrs. Goldwire is survived by: two sons, Ray Goldwire of Gainesville and Michael M. Goldwire of Starke; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mrs. Goldwire will be held at 1 p.m., on Monday, March 26, 2007, in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Nussel and the Rev. Mike Hutcherson conducting the services. Private interment will be at a later date under the care of Jones Funeral Home of Starke.
