Albert J. Brantner, 83, of Boonton Township, died after a long illness on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at home.
Mr. Brantner was born in Holden, W. Va.., and had lived in Boonton Township since 1944.
He was a machinist and toolmaker with Hewlett-Packard Inc., of Rockaway Township for 22 years. He retired in 1986. Before working at Hewlett-Packard, he was a partner in the Boonton Transport Company in Boonton for 17 years.
Mr. Brantner was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church in Boonton Township. He also enjoyed camping, taking frequent trips with his family.
Mr. Brantner is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lillian; two sons, Bary A. of Boonton Township and Bruce J. of New Jersey; a brother, William of Mount Arlington and a granddaughter.
