Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2206 4th St., Charleston, IL from 3 to 5 PM with a memorial service following. Pastor Janice Kahl will officiate. Private inurnment will occur later.
Susan was born August 26, 1940 in Galva, IL to Melvin and Elizabeth (Swanson) Rodgers. She was raised by Mr. Rodgers and her stepmother, Lorene Rodgers. She married Albert Richard Tinder on December 2, 1960 in Mattoon, IL.
She is survived by one son, Mark Tinder, (Cassandra) of Lerna, IL and two daughters, Susy Horn (Steve, previously deceased) of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Rebecca Burger (Robert) of Philipsburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Eric Miller of Charleston, IL, Jessica Matthews of Ft. Myers, FL, Spencer Tinder of Sullivan, IL, Blake Tinder of Phoenix, AZ, Chris Storm of Mattoon, IL, Nick Storm of Mattoon, IL, Robert Burger, Jr., of Philipsburg, PA and Rachel Burger of Philipsburg, PA, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Anne Rodgers of Charleston, IL and Mary Beth Sternberg of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
