Olive married Arthur Phillip Burns (1927-2005) on November 8, 1952 in Georgetown, Floyd Co., Indiana. They had three children as reported in her obituary.
Olive was the first of two wives for Arthur P. Burns.

NEW ALBANY TRIBUNE OBITUARY - 07/26/1965 - CORYDON
Mrs. Olive Burns, 37, New Salisbury, died at 6 p.m. Saturday at Harrison County Memorial Hospital. Survivors include the widower, Arthur Burns; a son, Barry Burns, New Salisbury; two daughters, Charleen and Rose Lee Burns, New Salisbury; four brothers, Earl Wayne, Roger and David Barnickle, all of Corydon and Larry Barnickle, New Middletown, two sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Masters, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Joyce Deweese, Corydon and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Barnickle, Corydon. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gehlbach & Resch Funeral Home, Corydon and at 2 p.m. at Corydon Nazarene Church of which she was a member. Burial will be in the Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.

Mrs. Olive M. Burns of New Salisbury died at 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Harrison County Hospital. She was 37 years of age. Mrs. Burns, a native of Harrison County, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Barnickle, who survive. She was a member of the Corydon Nazarene Church and formerly employed by Sieg's Chic-A-Lay Poultry Farm, Corydon. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gehlbach-Resch Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. at the Corydon Nazarene Church. Rev. Paul Hoskins officiated. Music was furnished by Mrs. Josephine Bottles accompanied by Mrs. George Altemueller. Burial was in the Rehoboth Cemetery, near Laconia. Pallbearers were Charles Swartz, Paul Chinn, Ivan Rochner, Stanley Burns, Joseph Barnickle and Eddie Rosenbarger. Survivors besides her parents include her husband, Arthur Burns, a son, Barry Burns; two daughters, Charlene and Rosalee Burns, New Salisbury; four brothers, Earl, Wayne, Roger and David Barnickle, all of Corydon, and Larry Barnickle, New Middletown; and two sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Masters, Cincinnati and Mrs. Joyce DeWeese, Corydon.
