WILLIAM S. CROY RITES
AT PILOT GROVE CHURCH
Funeral services for William S. Croy, 80-year-old farmer northwest of Jamesport, who died at the home July 29, were held Saturday, July 31, at the Pilot Grove No. 2 church, conducted by te Rev. Lewis Clark of Jamesport. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Croy, a successful farmer and stockman, was born in Grand River Township and spent his entire life in Daviess County. He was the son of Alexander and Sophia Croy and one of 14 children, all of whom have preceded him in death except one sister, Mrs. Permelia Mills of Jameson.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jeanna Haines Croy, and three children: Miss Theo Croy of the home, Mrs. Harry Stith of Altamont, and Bert Croy of Gallatin. Seven grandchildren,10 great grandchildren and a number nieces and nephews also survive him.
