NOTE: She is in the Green Lawn Cemetery Census, 1883-1995, published by the Clinton County Historical Society. The entry shows only the last name DeVall, and date 7-14-1925, which was presumably the date of burial. The book shows several others under DeVall and two as Duval. It's obviously the same family. Her husband was also buried at Greenlawn.

Mrs. Virginia Payne Duval died at her home at 3322 Harrison Street, Kansas City, Missouri, Sunday, July 12, 1925, her death being due to a shock from a fall suffered a few days before.
Funeral services were held at the home at seven o'clock, Monday evening, conducted by her pastor and friend, Dr. Burris A. Jenkins and burial was in Greenlawn cemetery at Plattsburg on Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Duval was the daughter of Elder and Mrs. A. H. F. Payne, and was born in Clay county, Oct. 5, 1847. She was married in 1871 to Leonidas P. Duval, who died ten years ago. For many years the family lived in Ray county, moving later to Kansas City, where they have resided for thirty years.
Of the four children born to Mr. and Mrs. Duval, three survive; Misses Willie and Ella May, of the home and Albert P. Duval of New York. One sister, Mrs. Annie E. Bland, of Gower, is the eldest and only surviving member of the Payne family.
Mrs. Duval had been an earnest Christian since childhood, was affiliated with the Linnwood Boulevard CHristian church almost since its founding, and faithfully and loyally made its missionary and other interests her own. XX.
