Obituary: "Miss Bess B. Lowe, age 97 of Warren died Friday May 8, 1992 at Jefferson Regional medical Center in Pine Bluff. Born April 6, 1895 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late James B. and Nancy Lillian Baker Lowe. She was a retired public school teacher and a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.
"Miss Lowe had a lengthy teaching career; an earlier portion of this was in Oklahoma. Later, during World War II, Miss Lowe returned to South Arkansas and taught at Warren High and even later, a number of years at East side school under the principalship of the late Allie Mae Colvin Temple. iss Lowe was much admired by teacher friends for her warmth and sense of humor.
"Survivors are two brothers, Noel Lowe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Zeb Lowe of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and one sister Luniel Parker of Little Rock. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 12 at 2:00p.m. at Moseley Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers were Curtis Blankinship, Jr, John B. Frazer Jr, Charlie Bray, Jackie West, Bill Wisener, Roger George and Dr. Joe H Whorton. Honarary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, M.D., and Raymond Wagnon."
