Daphne Camille Doty, 31, of Monett, MO, passed from this life, all too soon, on Monday evening, May 25, 2020, following a motor vehicle accident.
Daphne was born on June 30, 1988 in Springfield, MO, daughter of Sidney Dean Doty and Sue Ann (Rosier) Doty. Growing up in Monett, Daphne went to Monett schools. She was a fun-loving free spirit who loved children, especially the light of her life, her son Daxen.
Daphne is survived by her son, Daxen Johnson and his father, Steve Johnson; her mother, Sue Doty (John Ricketts); her brother, Jerrad Gorman (Kristi); her sisters, Ashley Forgey (Kyle), Melissa Boshears (Daniel), Michelle Gettler (Chris) and Sheila Phelem (Chris); her nephews, Ashton Medlin, Kyler Forgey, Colten Gorman and Cody Gorman; her niece, Ally Gorman; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Daphne was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Doty; a nephew, Zackery Gorman; a cousin, Tony Whisenhunt; and her grandparents.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, May 30th from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Reverend Jimmie Copley will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Daxen Johnson Education Fund in care of the funeral home or First State Bank of Purdy. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
