Mildred Bleichner, 80, of Mahomet, passed away April 8, 2010, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Mildred was born May 27, 1929, in Pesotum, a daughter of Joseph and Anna (Hausmann) Bleichner.

She is survived by her son, Stephen (Sherri) and two grandchildren, Stephen and Dennis, all of Mahomet; two sisters, Carol (Tim) Gore of Decatur and Norma (John) Brown of Villa Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donald.

Mildred graduated from Champaign High School in 1947. She retired in 1985 from Illinois Bell and AT&T. She also retired from the Mahomet school district. She was a member of Illinois Bell Telephone Pioneers.

Visitation will be at Blair-Owens Funeral Home, 102 E. Dunbar, Mahomet, on Sunday, April 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 501 W. State, Mahomet, on Monday, April 12, at 10 a.m. Rev. Fr. John Horton will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pesotum.
