He was cremated and his remains were shipped to San Francisco, probably arranged by his sister who moved there in 1907. He shares a headstone with "Wife and Child" at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma, San Mateo, CA.
Mattie & Cyrus had a daughter Grace on 14 Dec 1894 in Handley, Kanawha, WV. They are found residing in Charleston, WV through 1932. Cyrus d. at age 71 on 5 Jun 1934 and Mattie d. at age 82 on 7 Jun 1936. They are buried together at Spring Hill Cemetery In Charleston, WV.
