Davis Funeral Held Tuesday - Charles Seldon Davis Jr., 49 of 1610 South Main Street, Mount Airy, died Saturday night at 7:30 o'clock after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. J. L. Bryson Jr. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery. Born in Surry County, he was the son of Seldon and Thelma Jackson Davis. Mr. Davis a veteran of World War II, was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Yelton Davis; three daughters, Mrs. Latham Stanley of Greensboro, Mrs. Delane Stanley of Shallotte and Miss Margaret Davis of the home; one son, Charles Hampton Davis of Charlotte; four grandchildren; his parents, of Mount Airy; and one brother, Albert Davis of Mount Airy.
