Charles Henry is the son on John GOODSELL and Lydia Mary BALLARD. He was among the first in his family to join the Mormon faith in Hastings. He first married Hannah Baker 16 May 1857 in Hastings; she died less than a year after marriage. He then married Deborah Etchell 21 Aug 1859 in Canterbury, Kent, England. Charles was skillful with his hands and loved making things. He was a baker boy, coach smith journeyman, goldsmith, blacksmith, mason, and carpenter. He sang in the Choral Society in Logan. He acted in plays with his brother Alfred in the Cache area.
