Robert Ezra Brown, Jr. passed away on Monday, 19 March 1951. He was 89.
Mr. Brown was born on Wednesday, 21 August 1861, to Robert Ezra Brown, Sr. and Mary Susanna Littleton Brown, in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. He was the sixth of eleven children born to this union, and the last Brown child to pass.
He was united in marriage to Amanda Josephine Boyd on Thursday, 14 September 1882, in Coldspring, San Jacinto County, Texas. Mrs. Brown preceded Robert in death on Wednesday, 21 July 1948. They were married 66 years. To their union were born twelve children: son Lawerence Eldredge Brown, daughter Mary Susan Ann Brown, son Robert Willis Brown, daughter Gerthea Sallie Brown, daughter Franie Eviline Brown, daughter Maggie Bonnie Brown, son Jodie Buck Brown, son Roy Eldon Brown, daughter Jennie Brown, son Charles Nelson Brown, son Edward Nathan Brown, and daughter Lucille Brown.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Lawerence Eldredge Brown, daughter Franie Eviline Brown, daughter Maggie Bonnie Brown Towery Singleton, son Jodie Buck Brown, son Roy Eldon Brown, daughter Jennie Brown, son Edward Nathan Brown, brother Amos B Brown, brother Elijah Brown, brother Joseph Brown, brother Samuel Herford Brown, brother Alexander Campbell Brown, sister Anne Edline Brown Minick, brother William Oliver Brown, sister Maggie Brown, brother Erasmus Gaul Brown, and brother Charles Harrison Brown.
He is survived by daughter Mary Susan Ann Brown Ham, son Robert Willis Brown, daughter Gerthea Sallie Brown Banks, son Charles Nelson Brown, and daughter Lucille Brown Cox Downey.
Interment occurred at Velma Cemetery of Velma, Stephens County, Oklahoma.
