Jean Langston Daniel

Jean Langston Daniel of Moultrie, GA, and formerly of Fincastle Estates in Bluefield, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on July 3, 2020 with her family and caregivers by her side.

Born March 14, 1938 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Carl Frances and Clara Yeahley Langston.

She graduated from Salem High School and University of Arkansas with a degree in education. Mrs. Daniel was a well-known third grade teacher at Logan Street Elementary School and Graham Intermediate School. She was a faithful member at Glen Lyn Baptist Church in Glen Lyn, VA as well as First Baptist Church in Bluefield, WV.

Those left to cherish her memory are: William Gordon Daniel, Jr. of Penhook VA, Glenda Carter Daniel of Chesterfield, VA; two daughters: Denise Daniel Sease and husband, Todd of Chatham, VA and Jill Daniel Matney and husband, Jim of Moultrie, GA; 9 grandchildren: Jennifer, Chris, and Brian Daniel, Walter, Anne Langston, and Jack Sease, William, Sarah, and Henry Lewis Matney.

A graveside service to celebrate Mrs. Daniel’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with the Rev. Ed Fisher officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the Daniel family at the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Gordon Daniel, Chris Daniel, Brian Daniel, Jim Matney, William Matney, Henry Matney, Todd Sease and Walter Sease.
