Charlie was the third of eight children of Charles Moser and Anna White Moser. The family appears to have changed its name to Moore immediately prior to World War I, perhaps because anti-German sentiment was running high.

He wed Olive Cornelia Moulton at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan, New York, and they had a very loving marriage.

Their beloved daughter Agnes was born in 1915.

Charlie lived in the Bronx, Bronx Co., New York for most of his adult life.

He was a clerk and then a manager in the shipping department of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York for many years. He was always found in a white shirt and necktie, even on his days off.

Charlie was a great fan of the New York Giants baseball team.

He moved to Easton in 1955 to be close to his daughter.

Charlie had three grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren as of early 2012. His grandson Jerry has inherited some of his hand mannerisms.

He is actually buried in front of his wife's name, and she is buried in front of his. His sister Tillie is also buried in the family plot.
