Margaret Brooks Hartley a resident of Midland City, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. She was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1-2pm.

Margaret was born on March 27, 1951, in Sebring, FL to the late Thomas Brooks and Mary Brey. Ms. Margaret was a waitress for over 35 years in the Panama City area and was the best line dancer in Bay County. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and Alabama Football. In her free time, she enjoyed watching western movies featuring John Wayne and Conway Twitty. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friends, her sister’s especially shopping.

She was preceded in death by her husband MSgt Ronald Harltey Jr., her parents and a granddaughter Magnolia Leighann Grace Dean.

Survivors include her children Travis (Faye) Dean, Angela (Chris) Jackson), Timothy (Chasity) Hartley and Leetia (Willie) Cooper; also left to cherish Margaret is a brother Buddy (Kelly) Brooks); sisters Peggy (Ed) Harrison, Vail (Mike) Croslow; a sister-in-law Pamela (Mike) Adams, also left to cherish her memories are 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A fur-baby who will miss her dearly, Peanut

Serving as active pallbearers will be T.J. Dean, Dalton Dean, Timothy Hartley, Jeremy Lewis and Courtney Taylor.
