Mr. Kenneth A. Baker, 93, of Lovettsville, Va., died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare in Frederick, Md., where he had been a resident for over four years.
Born on June 23, 1912 in Loudoun County, Va. He was the son of the late Havery Baker and the late Fannie Belle (Wright) Baker. He was the husband of the late Mary Ruth Fawley Myers Baker who died September 14, 1994. He was also predeceased by one sister, Helen Demory, and brother Carroll Baker.
Before retirement, Mr. Baker was employed by Dean Rathburn, Inc. for years as a carpenter. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Lovettsville, where he served as councilman for several years.
He is survived by one Step-daughter, Evelyn Norris of Frederick, Md.; one Step-son, Billy Lee Myers of Lovettsville, Va.; four step-grandchildren, Joyce Miller and husband Kenneth of Frederick, Md., Donald Norris and wife Donna of Jefferson, Md., Kenny Myers and wife Kathy and Ronald Myers of Lovettsville, Va.; five step-great grandchildren, six step-great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun/Brown Funeral Home, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, Virginia, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2006, Rev. G. Andreas Armstrong officiating. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, Va.
Pallbearers will be Donald Norris, Ronald Myers and Kenny Myers, Step-grandsons, Glenn Hughes, husband of niece, Nancy, Kenneth Miller, husband of step-granddaughter, Joyce and Leonard "Junior" Wilt, husband of niece, Barbara "Bibbie."
