Dottie Brant, 93, of McAlester, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at her home.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 and from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Bishop Chapel of Memories.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. Chip Lott officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Dollie was born on March 16, 1927 in Kenefic, Oklahoma to John Louis Jackson and Mary/Mollie Elizabeth (Johnson) Jackson. She was a member of Frink Baptist Church.

She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Dollie is survived by her daughter: Joy Yates and husband, Gene; her granddaughter: Shelly Crews; her great-granddaughter: Krystal Yates; her great-great-granddaughter: Karoline Alverson, all of McAlester; a daughter-in-law: Lucy Allen of McAlester; and a cousin: Ima Jean Hand.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Virgil Allen; her son: Virgil Allen; her second husband: Homer Brant; and several brothers and sisters.
