Latha Thomas Bennett, son of Wade Cross Bennett and Sarah Minerva Smith, married about 1927 to Alpha Warner. Latha and Sarah had two boys, Wade H. Bennett and William A. Bennett.

Latha T. Bennett, 86, of Leon, died April 20, 1988, in Pleasant Valley Nursing Care Unit, Point Pleasant, after a long illness. He was a farmer and former employee of New York Central Railroad. He was a member of Arbuckle Interdenominational Church. He was a lifelong resident of Mason County. Surviving: wife, Alpha Warner Bennett; sons, William of South Charleston and Robert of Poca; sister Louise Kimberling of Leon; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Service was Saturday at Raynes Funeral Home, Buffalo, with the Rev. Arles Covert officiating. Burial was in Wolfe Valley Cemetery, Leon.
