Allen S. Howard died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at his home, Clay Bank Fork, after an illness of several weeks. He is survived by his widow, his mother and one sister, Miss Martha Howard. He was 38 years old.
Mr. Howard was the son of the late Henry A. Howard, who died about a year ago, and was engaged with his father in the mercantile business. Of quiet and retiring nature, he was a young man of sterling qualities, anjoyed the respect and friendship of those who knew him, and will be greatly missed in the circle in which he moved.
The funeral will be at Bellamy's Church Saturday at 3 p.m.
