Abraham A. Castaneda, 91, of Rupert, Idaho passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Highland Estates in Burley with his wife Maria "Lile" and other family members by his side.
Abraham was born February 15, 1929 to Francisco and Isabel Casteneda in Houston, Texas. Abraham moved to Rupert in 1956 with his Mother and brother Raymond, where he met his wife Lile but would not marry for many decades later.
Abraham rekindled his relationship with Lile, dating for six years before eventually marrying on January 15, 1983 in Rupert, Idaho.
Abraham is survived by Maria "Lile", his wife of 38 years. His daughter Cathy (Julio Sr.) of Rupert. His stepchildren Elida (Alvin) of Utah; Rudy (Debbie) of Nampa, Idaho; Julio Jr. of Utah; Selma (Anthony) of Utah. Grandchildren. Great grandchildren, and great, great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
Abraham is preceded in death by his father and mother and brother Raymond.
Viewing for family and friends will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at St. Nicholas Catholic church at 6:00 with a rosary starting at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 27,2020 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 11 am in Rupert, Idaho.
