Robert "Monk" Frierson, 73, a lifelong resident of Pearl River, died March 4, 2003 in Pearl River of cancer.
The son of Aaron Frierson and Rosa McQueen, he was the husband of Mary Burkhardt Frierson; the father of Robert C. Frierson, Timothy Thomas Frierson, Zandra Boutwell, Mona K. Gilbreath, Francin Spienler, and Delphine Craddock; the brother of Acy Frierson, Edwina Chastang, Mildred England, Marie Abel and Juanita Godwin; the grandfather of 14; and the great-grandfather of nine.
Visitation was at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Highway 41 South in Pearl River. Internment followed in the Pearl River Cemetery.
