He was born to Robert Lester Peacock and Clara Louise Worley Peacock.
He was a member of Felders Chapel Church. He worked as an industrial engineer, working at NASA, Bristol Babcock and Taylor Instruments. He enjoyed gardening, painting, drawing and writing poetry. His favorite pastime was spent with family and friends enjoying laughter and fellowship. He loved his involvement with the church and his church family. Mr. Peacock was a licensed minister who married and counseled many. He was a man that never met a stranger and considered it a privilege to help others in any manner necessary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Marcus Shane Peacock.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Joycce Montgomery Peacock; daughter, Teri McEachern (Jerry, Jr.); son, Monty Peacock (Tina); daughter, Dorothy Swayze (Chris); sisters, Linda Barker and brother Dick Montgomery (Kathy); grandchildren, Jill, Joshua, Kirsten, Katherine, Isaac, Abbie, Mariel, Gracie, Logan, Caden; six great grandchildren and other extended family.
It is requested that everyone attending services wear a mask to help prevent the COVID19 spread.
