Lawrence Jewett was my grandfather. His daughter with Lucile Hemphill Jewett, is my mother.

He was born the oldest of 11 children from Montgomery, Vermont. His family was famous for building the covered bridges of Vermont by the Canadian border.

He moved to Massachusetts where he attended an Argericultural college. He owned a trucking business in Massachusetts in the Framminham area. He was also a bus driver from Frammingham to Boston.

I knew him as a child and I loved him dearly and will always miss him. My mother has only good things to say of him and of how he was a loving father. he would drive her anywhere as he loved to drive.

He loved to watch Lawrence Welk and the Waltons and was cherished by his two granddaughters.

He passed away at Sheldonville Nursing home in Wrentham, MA during a heat wave.
