Raymond Edward Anderson, age 88 of River Falls, WI died on Friday evening, June 12, 2020 at Comforts of Home in River Falls. Raymond was born March 1, 1932 in Brainerd, MN to parents Albert and Ellen (Soderlund) Anderson. Raymond attended school in Minneapolis and graduated from Minnehaha High School with the Class of 1950.

On June 18, 1954 Raymond was united in marriage to Deloris Anderson. Though their marriage later dissolved, seven children were born to this union. Raymond earned his Masters in Theology from North Park Seminary in 1958 and worked for many years as a Pastor. After leaving ministry, Raymond worked for many years in the printing industry in Pennsylvania before retiring in 1997.

Raymond was an avid reader. He liked all sports, but especially baseball. He was an active member at First Congregational Church of River Falls for many years.

The family would like to thank his long time companion, Barb Wall, for her constant care of Dad.

Raymond is survived by his children, Laurell (Richard) Waclawik of Lake Stevens, WA, Darrell (Barbara) Anderson of Burnsville, MN, Sherill (Randy) Miller of Park Rapids, MN, Russell (Kim) Anderson of Lakeville, MN, Kendell (Jennifer) Anderson of Columbia City, OR, Wendell (Stephanie) Anderson of St. Paul, MN, and Michael (Cindy) Anderson of Solon, IA; 17 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; two older brothers, Donald and Clyde Robert; one sister, Helen; and his twin brother, Ralph.

Funeral Services honoring the life of Raymond Anderson (Respecting social distancing, encouraging masks) will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 110 N. 3rd Street in River Falls, with Pastor Chris Myers officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. A private family burial will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN. Memorials are preferred to the First Congregational Church of River Falls.
