When a young man he went to Carthage, Jefferson Co., N. Y., and was engaged in the battle of Sackett's Harbor, N.Y., May 29th, 1813.
He and his elder brother Enos went to Vevay, Ind., about 1814.
He died in 1844 in Indiana. He was an upright and highly respected man. About the year 1815 he lived for a time, it is said, in Kentucky. He married for his first wife a Miss Haines. She died in 1823.
