Betty Jean Garris (Ace), 80, of Bushkill passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Charles Garris Sr. with whom she shared 62 of marriage before his passing in 2006. Born January 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Henry Ace Sr. and Alice (Stettler) Ace of Bushkill, PA. Betty was a lifelong resident of Bushkill. She was a loving wife and mother of six boys. You could always find Betty sitting outside on her porch enjoying the nature. She often watched the turkey and fed deer out of the palm of her hand. Many will remember her as the babysitter of Bushkill. She took care of all the Bushkill babies. Betty was a sweet, caring, and nurturing woman who will be sincerely missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. In addition to her husband Charles Garris Sr. and her parents, Betty had been preceded in death by her sons: Robert and Fred Garris; her sister: Alberta Dunbar; and her brother: Henry Ace Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister: Edna Garris; her brother-in-law: William Garris; and her sister-in-law: Joan Ace, all of Bushkill. Her Children: Charles Garris and his wife Lynne; William Garris,Richard Garris, and Dave Garris and his wife Patsy, All of Bushkill. Her Grandchildren: April Counterman,Heather Hoover, Elizabeth Garris, Keith Garris, Joespeh Garris, Jessica Garris, and Shawn Garris.
