Miss Ivarea Flack was the daughter of George Mills Flack and Lula Ella Simmons Flack; she never married.

Known siblings of Ivarea Flack, were Donald E., Thomas C., George N., and Kenneth Walter Flack.
Ivarea Flack attended Western Carolina College and became an elementary school teacher, with teaching 44 years. Many of the years of teaching were at Glenwood High and Elementary in McDowell County, Glenwood, N.C.
I was fortunate enough to be one of her students while being in the fifth grade, as she was one my favorite teachers of grade school. She made learning fun and interesting by teaching her students to be creative while learning. I look back on Miss Flack as being a great elementary school teacher and now, feel honored to be able to write and enter this Memorial Page in her Memory, as I will always remember her.
