MRS. SUSIE RHODES, 90, DIES SUNDAY
EDINBURG -- Mrs. Susie Ellen Rhodes, 90, died Sunday at the home of her son, Thomas A. Rhodes, Columbus route 8.
Mrs. Rhodes spent most of her life in the Edinburg area. She was born there April 19, 1880, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane DeHart Anderson. She was preceded by her first husband, Marion Homer White. She then married Charles Grant Rhodes who died in September, 1952.
Other survivors include three other sons, Harry Rhodes of Indianapolis, Raymond Rhodes of Cleveland and Claude H. White also of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Jahn of Columbus and a sister, Mrs. Belle Van Dorn of Cincinnati.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Mutz funeral home where persons may call after 2 o'clock today. Burial will be at Rest Haven cemetery.

Mrs. Susie Ellen Rhoades, 90, a native of Edinburg, died Sunday at the home of her son, Thomas A. Rhoades, Columbus, R.R. #8. She had been ill and in the hospital.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Mutz Funeral Home and burial was made at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Born April 19, 1880, in Edinburg, the deceased was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane DeHart Anderson and spent most of her life in Edinburg.
She was married August 14, 1910, to Charles Grant Rhoades who died in September of 1952.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas Rhoades, Harry V. Rhoades of Indianapolis, Raymond Rhoades of Cleveland, Ohio, Claude H. White of Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Jahns of Columbus.
One sister, Mrs. Belle Van Dorn of Cincinnati, Ohio, 18 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Homer White.
