Dewey "Ray" Faulk
April 15, 1939 – October 23, 2010

Dewey "Ray" Faulk, 71, of Wilmington, NC went to join his Savior on Saturday, October 23, 2010. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lillian Faulk and one brother, Ronald.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 48 years, Mary ; two sons, Paul "Brian" Faulk and fiancé, Leslie Pridgen ; Dennis Ray Faulk and wife, Melinda and one very special granddaughter, Lindsey Raine who was the apple of her Granddaddy's eye. He is also survived by three brothers, five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray worked for CSX Railroad as a Conductor for thirty eight years. He was an active member of College Acres Baptist Church, a member of The Disciples Sunday School Class and a former Deacon. He shared many special times with his loving church family.

Ray loved the Lord and led his life and family with a strong Christian faith. He had a generous and loving spirit. A devoted family man, he enjoyed good food, and spending time with family and friends. Ray always had a project and enjoyed working in his workshop and around his home with his two sons. He treasured his granddaughter, Lindsey, and loved to spend time with her. A wonderful husband, father, brother, granddaddy and friend, Ray will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service, led by Rev. Andy Ickes, will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 11:00am at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. The family will receive friends and family after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923
