Suggested edit: Bernard McClure was a timber agent for the Central Pacific Railroad at Cisco and then assistant CP agent at Reno 1872-1874. He served as freight clerk for the Virginia & Truckee Railroad at Virginia City in 1875 and Chief Clerk 1876-1877. He was agent for the new Carson & Colorado Railroad at Hawthorne in 1881. In 1885 he was the Cashier at the U.S. Mint in Carson City. He was also a bookkeeper for the Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Company and the Lake Tahoe Railway & Transportation Company.
