Elkhorn – Harold J. Mildorfer, age 87, of 473 E. Geneva St., died Sat., Jan 1, 1994, at Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn. Harold was born in Spring Prairie, WI on Nov. 19, 1906, the son of John and Millie (Grapentine) Mildorfer. Harold married Anna Schumacher on Aug. 29, 1929 in Dubuque IA., she died in 1975. He then married Helen Nehls on June 22, 1979, in Woodstock, IL. Harold farmed in LaFayette Township for over 40 years and was a livestock tracker from 1957 to 1978.
He is survived by his wife Helen; a daughter Ruth (Craig) Pfeiffer of Elkhorn, a son Maynard (Sonja) Mildorfer of Fontana, WI, a son-in-law, Alfred Gruling, of East Troy, WI; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola Weber of Elkhorn. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna; and a daughter, Joanne Gruling.
There will be no public visitation. Private family funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 1994 at Lockwood Funeral Home, Elkhorn, with Rev. Douglas Demlow officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Spring Prairie, WI.
