Joseph Conrad Jessick, 89, passed away on June 22, 2020 at Asbury Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Joe was born on November 18, 1930 in Elmira NY. He was the son of the late Theresa and Jacob Jessick of Elmira NY.

He attended high school at Elmira Free Academy and then Elmira Veterans School of Mechanical Technology.

He joined IBM as a tool designer in 1957 and worked his way through numerous positions, ending as a Personnel Manager in 1975 until his retirement in June of 1990. Joe specialized in personnel development and took great pride in building employee relationships.

Joe was an avid golfer and loved to travel to Hilton Head Island SC with his wife Shirley for golfing vacations. He was an ardent fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Penn State Football. Most of all Joe loved spending time with his family. He was the perfect listener and sounding board for everyone.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley Jessick, and his brother Richard Jessick of Auburn NY.

Joe is survived by his sister Mary Anna Grabowski of Horseheads NY, brother John and wife Ruth Jessick of Pine City, NY, son Joseph and wife Barbara of Mechanicsburg, PA, daughter Janice and husband Jeffrey of Bonita Springs, FL, grandchildren Zachary Lose of Raleigh, NC, Eileen and husband Joshua Grundon of Carlisle, PA, Jamie and husband Mehdi Barakchian of Weehawken, NJ, and Laura Jessick of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by his companion at Bethany Village, Clara Weigard.

There will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Enola, PA at a later date.
